Welcome to the Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad

Anytime, anywhere . . .

Where ever there is an emergency, we are there.  24 hours per day.  7 days per week.  365 days per year.

Junior Training

The Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad boasts one of the oldest junior programs for high school students in the area.

In the beginning . . .

Early squad members care for a patient during a routine training exercise in front of the squad building. Check out those uniforms!

We need your support

The Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad is funded entirely by donations.  We accept no tax dollars.  Won't you help?

Our Volunteers

For 2014 we gathered current and past members for a ground breaking photo in the footprint of our new building.

Our Bike Team

In October 1992, the Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad became one of the first agencies in the state to deliver Emergency Medical Services using bicycles.

September is National Preparedness Month, and FEMA has designated Tuesday, September 30 as a "National PrepareAthon" day.  The First Aid Squad will help Summit participate by hosting a session “Are You Ready?” at 7 PM at the Summit Recreation Center, 100 Morris Ave.  Participants will learn how to create a disaster plan, build a supply kit, make the “stay or go” decision, and take steps to ensure their safety. Information from the American Red Cross, the City’s newly formed Citizens Emergency Response Team (CERT) and our Police and Fire departments will also be available.

All are welcome and there is no charge for the class.  Click Here to register online
